Most of the plastic used is never recycled. Globally, almost 90% of plastic waste is found in the oceans or landfills where they are incinerated. With the forecast that plastic use will triple by 2050, there is a huge opportunity, both economically and environmentally, to turn that plastic into building blocks for new materials instead of poorly managed waste.
