On October 26, the Fifteenth Scientific and Practical Conference, dedicated to  "Trends in food and beverage packaging - technologies, materials, ecology and regulations" took place. The conference was held with the support of the Food Drinks Bulgaria Association, the Bulgarian Soft Drinks Association and the assistance of: Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Ministry of Environment and water, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency, University of Food Technologies, Institute of Pulp and Paper.

During the forum, novelties and innovations regarding the various types of packaging were discussed. The issue of introducing a deposit system in the country and achieving a full circular model of used packaging was also raised.

Iana Ivanova, executive director of the Food Drinks Bulgaria  Association, was the moderator of the first panel.
